Erin Kann – Artist in Residence

Residency Dates: August 7- September 10, 2022

Studio H Canada is thrilled to welcome Erin Kann, an emerging, multidisciplinary writer and visual artist from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Erin is currently working on a community engagement project that will result in a novella called New Growth, composed of short stories and artwork focused on the themes of profound loss, crumbling foundations, and rebirth. Through this project, Erin plans to create a piece of work that helps others heal and find new life as they navigate through hardship, mourning and despondence. Erin is developing a series of paintings for New Growth that flow in order from pain through to healing to complement each short story.

The call to artists to participate in New Growth is open on the website until September 30th. More than 200 artists are participating already!
