Residency Dates: July 13-20, 2022
Studio H Canada is thrilled to welcome Jay Lind from Summerland, British Columbia, Canada. Jay is the first musician to undertake a residency at SHC and we are excited to see how his work goes in the studio, the forest, our local beaches, and the resulting recordings.
“I am returning to my experimental art practice after some years. I am currently working on projects that involve solo Double Bass improvisation. I am developing a video documentation/captured improvisation project that involves performing intimately (small private studio) as well as natural and public settings. The purpose is to capture the magical moments that occur while improvising and editing these scenes as video musical snapshots for presentation online and in gallery spaces. I want to give myself new opportunities to expand my practice and meet new art-making colleagues.”
