Lisa Rosowsky, Artist in Residence, USA

Mixed Media, Textiles

Residency Dates: June 2026

Studio H Canada is thrilled to welcome Lisa Rosowsky, an established, multidisciplinary visual artist from Massachusetts, USA. Lisa creates incisive, multidisciplinary works that confront the politics of memory, identity, and belonging. Drawing on feminist inquiry, historical research, family archives and personal experience, she challenges inherited prejudices, exposes systems of exclusion, and illuminates overlooked histories. A self-described “media-agnostic” artist, she moves fluidly between textiles, photography, installation, artist books, and graphic media, selecting materials and forms that best serve each story. Her work draws on personal and historical research to confront themes of Holocaust legacy, antisemitism, migration, loss, and the enduring consequences of dehumanization, transforming difficult histories into poignant acts of remembrance, resistance, and social inquiry. Through courageous political critique and deeply human storytelling, Lisa creates powerful artistic expression that invite both reflection and action.

While at Studio H, Lisa will be creating new work and experimentations in machine embroidery, creating hand-made nature prints, and continuing to develop larger textile projects.
