Leap of Faith – The work during my residency at Studio H Canada International Artist Residency explores ideas of vulnerability, grief and how our perceptions of these emotional aspects of life are impacted by solitude. This is improvised music where there has been limited preparation in terms of composition. The immediacy of making choices in the moment is both the challenge and the fun of creating as an improviser.
Studio H is a unique and sublime location with stunning views and cozy surroundings. It has been a real pleasure to work in this welcoming and inspiring studio space with such a rich and vibrant natural setting.
