Open Call: Textile Residencies at Studio H Canada

Tapestry work-in-progress using the LeClerc loom by residency artist Laura Kunciūté

SHC International Artists Residency is now open to applications from international and Canadian artists working with textile projects!

Studio H Canada is seeking artists interested in working on 2D and 3D textile projects including but not limited to weaving, felting, working with local wools, and sewing. The studio includes a large textile area including a LeClerc loom, yarn and felt making equipment  — local wools are available for artists to use for a small additional fee. Textile artists will also have access to the 1000 square feet multimedia studio space shared with another resident artist (depending on residency scheduling). Please contact us for more information on available equipment and studio information.

Residency durations for Canadian (domestic) artists can be from 2–4 weeks long; for international artists coming from outside of Canada, there is a 4 week minimum requirement for your residency.
